Get the most out of therapy

Working with clients over time, I've started to notice certain areas in which people who are in therapy may not be getting the complete benefit that they could.  As a result, I wrote an article, published on Goodtherapy.org, in which I talk about the five things people can do to get more out of their counseling experience.  These include:

  1. Be Authentic 
  2. Teach your therapist about yourself
  3. You are okay as you are
  4. Discuss your beliefs
  5. Disagree with your therapist? Speak up
